PA To Pa

This week for maths we had to work out these questions about getting from the 

Kaiapoi Pa to Ōnawe Pa. here are the answers to the questions. this was our goal:communicate and interpret locations and directions, using compass directions, distances, and grid references.

The most direct route from getting to Kaiapoi Pa to Ōnawe pa  is 56km but you would have to go by Waka. Using a compass you would just have to go south west.

From one pa to the other on land it is 102.9 km an that would take 1 hr 35 min in a car and 19 hr 35 min walking with the roads today. Using a compass you would go south, south east,north east,south east. 

If you wanted to travel by boat or Waka it would take you 163km to get and that is the second fastest rout.  if you wanted to use a compass you would go West,south,east,north east,north.
